Santa Catalina Island is the most accessible of the eight Channel Islands off the coast of southern California and the only island with a city, Avalon, and accommodation. by boat
Catalina Cruises 1 800 842-1057 and Catalina Express ferries take 75 minutes from San Pedro, Long Beach or Dana Point on the mainland to Avalon and Two Harbors. From mid-March through November The Catalina Flyer catamaran departs from Newport Harbor at 9AM and departs from Avalon at 4.30PM
